I've had 4 of these for over a year and no problems. The adjust knobs are semi-accurate. I put each heater in a 5 gallon bucket of fresh water while adjusting it. After a few tries, it was +- 1 deg. Not bad.

Great heaters. The only problem I've ever encountered was when a 2 foot lungfish decided to snack on one -- all those glass tubes make a huge mess when a big dumb fish crushes them up. Other than that, I've had no problems at all. The temperature gauge even seems to be reasonably accurate on all the ones I've had.
