The TradeWind 1/2HP Compact Inline Chiller from Premium Aquatics is a superb addition to any serious aquarists system. When I upgraded from my 125g setup to a 180g, I moved up to the TradeWind. What a terrific investment! The chiller has excellent pull-down capacity and runs efficiently. I am running 3 250W MH pendants on my SPS-dominated reef tank, and here in the mid-atlantic region of the U.S., the summers are quite hot. I have had no problems at all with the TradeWind chiller. They are a bit more costly than some of the imported units, but the quality of this unit is vastly better. You can tell when you uncrate the TradeWind, it is very solidly-built: Steel case, not plastic; Threaded fittings, not flimsy plastic hose-barb fittings; Big heat exchanger, radiator, and fan. This unit is worth every extra dollar. I highly recommend it.

Great chillers. I used to have the Aqua Medic chiller 1hp and that was a piece of crap! glad to see that Premium Aquatic don't sell that crappy chillers anymore. I said 1 hp and rated for upto 500 gal tank,etc.. but can't not even handle my 180 gal then. Meanwhile this 1/2 hp TradeWind chiller has been running good on my 220 gal system w/ five 250MH. I come on one or two time during the day time (during hot days) and run for about 1hr. It does make a little noise - but i think that's common to big chillers. One plus for this chiller is that it's American made, (notthe cheaply made from China like the AquaMedic stuffs), and it comes with the 5yrs warranty from the manufacture!
