| Precision Dosing Systems - LiterMeter by SpectraPure
Introducing
our new LiterMeter III, now available in limited quantities.
The new LiterMeter III is an automatic
precision dosing system for the aquarium and horticulture industry. Three
independent programs control one built-in pump and up to two external
pumps. Perform 2-way water changes, in addition to eliminating the manual
drudgery of dosing Kalkwasser, trace elements, or topping off evaporated
water. Quiet operation, auto-calibration, and virtually maintenance-free.
Calcium
maintenance and alkalinity control are essential for a healthy reef tank.
SpectraPureís
LiterMeter
eliminates the manual drudgery of dosing Kalkwasser, trace elements, or
topping off evaporated water. Kalkwasser replenishment, to be most effective,
should be added to your aquarium slowly and consistently to avoid precipitation
of calcium carbonate. The LiterMeterô
automatically and reliably performs this task for you.
The LiterMeter
offers features found only on expensive laboratory pumps, such as microprocessor-control
and digital thumbwheel switches. These calibration features eliminate
the guesswork of uncalibrated competitive units. Unlike noisy industrial
metering pumps sold to the aquarium trades, SpectraPure's
LiterMeter
was specially designed for critical aquarium dosing and is so quiet
you can use it in your living room. Superior three-roller direct-motor
drive eliminates noisy gears and improves flow accuracy and tubing life.
It can be run dry without damage, and pumps from a draw height of 10 feet
to a delivery height of 16 feet.

5 I own 5, what can i say?

This coupled with a high water level float is the MOST reliable way of topping off your aquarium. You guestimate how much water your tank evaporates daily, program the LM3 (very easy) set the high level float in case it doses too much fresh water(very unlikely), and the high level float will cut off the LM3 before the water level in your sump or tank gets too high.
I also used these on my kalkwasser strirrers hooked up to a pH controller. You will be dosing over a 24hr period for a more stable environement. If the pH gets too high, the contorller will stop the LM3 from dosing too much kalkwasser.
Great way to protect your investment!

Before I purchased the LMIII I had only heard great things about this piece of equipment. I could not agree more! This thing is AMAZING! DEFINITELY worth the investment.

I use this doser with my GEO kalk reactor. Works great, and from what I've read will last a lifetime (thats why I bought it). It is pricey, but hopefully the high cost will pay off in longevity.

This is the best piece of equipment I have purchased for my reef. If I had bought a litermeter before trying everything else, I would've saved alot of money. I wouldn't take a vacation without a litermeter.

This is very cool. For my 100 gallon reef tank I have automated my 1.25 gallons daily RO replenishment and 10 gallon daily water changes (from a 125 gallon seawater supply). But be prepared to spend more on 2 accessory pumps if you want to do water changes.
