Although I like the fact that this is a much purer and safer product than most alk/pH buffers, it is only very marginally soluble in RO/DI or seawater, and I believe it is primarily CaCO3. I have not tested it extensively, but the host pH would need to be very low for it to dissolve, and that makes it rather useless in my experience. I did not notice any improvement in my tanks' pH stabilities or alkalinity levels. I'll not buy it again.
