What is HydroPlex"?
HydroPlex is effective for the treatment of external parasites including harmful bacteria, ciliated and flagellated protozoa (e.g., "ich" and "marine velvet", respectively), infectious fungi and algae, and other parasitic organisms found in aquaria and ornamental ponds.

What does HydroPlex" contain?
HydroPlex contains a unique blend of formulations available to the hobby industry exclusively from Ruby Reef. The active ingredients (on the label) are widely used in over-the-counter health care products (e.g., in antibacterial and antifungal products) and in a broad range of cosmetics and beauty aids (e.g., as antimicrobial preservatives). Together, they are effective against a wide range of infectious diseases, while being safe for humans and most animals. The biologically inert stabilizing system developed specifically for HydroPlex" allows the component formulations to be combined in one solution without any loss (e.g., due to chemical cross-reactions) in effectiveness. HydroPlex" has a long shelf life if stored at room temperature and away from bright light. HydroPlex" does not contain copper, formaldehyde, malachite green or methylene blue.

Important Notes
1. Do Not Use HydroPlex with amphibians.
2. HydroPlex is effective for the treatment of Vibrio infections in cephalopods; however, cephalopods may display symptoms of distress and should be closely monitored during treatment.
3. HydroPlex is NOT recommended for use in reef tanks or other established aquaria because it may compromise biological filtration.
4. Corals should be closed and polyps should be fully retracted prior to exposure to dip strength HydroPlex.
5. Some corals display symptoms of distress when exposed (with polyps extended) for long periods (1 - 3 days) to hospital strength HydroPlex ; open corals should be closely monitored during treatment.
