Had nothing but trouble with this pump on my Remora Skimmer, beware the simple casting of the impeller parts left pieces of plastic within the pump housing on mine, which caused noise. Pump will never break in.

I only had one problem with the 800. It is not quite suitable for use with the Ramora Skimmer. You should be offered an upgrade to a 1200 for a minimal cost, DO IT! The 800 was very noisy and burt up within a month.
