I put one of these on my diy calc reactor it works great. I would recommend it to anyone. A calcium reactor is pressurized and it doesnt leak. I am using a Milwaukee ph probe in my calcium reactor fits perfect. One thing I did do is put a little vaseline around the probe and then put it into the bulkhead this helps to seal it better.

This item doesn't fit a standard 1/2" thread, it's just a little too large. Doesn't seem to fit anything else available at lowes/homedepot. The threads are also not long enough to connect a nut on the other side, if you're drilling through 1/4" acrylic ... not that you'd be able to find a nut for it anyway.
If you use 2 part liquid or solid epoxy you shouldn't have any issues - thats how i ended up installing it into my ca rx after tapping the lid for 1/2" & scratching my head. Other than that, the item functions as advertised & has no issues. I use it with neptune's probes, as well as other brand probes ... all work the same. seal tight.

Not sure that the other guy even tried it. This bulkhead seals and has no leaks. Not only that, but I had to use it on another reactor and due to the size of the retainer nut I could not use it. I also cut the bottom of the fitting to be flush with the reactor lid and used Goop to seal it. This does not leak either.

This item is actually an electrical cord bulkhead. The way it is advertised for use will never make it water tight as the bottom end does not have a way to sela water. The probe does fit fine, but the bottom end will never be water tight. It also does not fit any standard plumbing as the 1/2" female thread PVC are too small and the 3/4" PVC is too large. Bought 5 for all my probes, and now they are simply collecting dust. Nice idea though if it did actually work.
