(09/30/2006) - It was a nice monitor for a bit less then 3 months. The wiring in the probe or the unit itself is week since it stopped reading or faulting to 1 on the readout. If I put the probe in the water just right sideways I could sometimes get a reading. Not sure of the accuracy. I sent it back for warranty work and had to go buy a hydrometer to use temporarily, kind of defeats the purpose. I always treated the probe with care, no reason for it to quit working unless the materials are cheap. Still beats checking with hydro, or Refract. but I would have housed it in a ruber waterproof housing like Sony does with some phone, radios, cameras.

(06/01/2004) - Accurate and simple. No more fussing with Hydrometers with "swing arm" or the Refractometers that are hard to read. Get this, and you are set for life!
