3 Don't expect quiet...

If you are thinking of buying this pump, get it because you want a ton of flow for a cheap price. don't expect it to be quiet. Just look at the design...it is like the largest powerhead ever built! If you want a quiet pump, buy a Reeflo...and stop complaining about this one being noisy...you get what you pay for! LOL

Have had mag drive pumps last 10+ years. They are never the quietest, but then again I've never tried to put 2400 gph through a SCWD! Was this a joke?

2 Very Loud

Just bought this 2400 in hopes to use it for a closed loop in my 135 Gallon Reef.
Using 1" PVC I plummed the closed loop through a SCWD and ended up nearly NO head pressure on top of being extremely loud.
Currently I run (2) BlueLine pumps for my skimmer and return and I never hear them at all. Once I plugged this pump in I thought the house was gonna fall in. Rattles like mad and so far doesn't perform near as well as I expected.
