Just in! New Pacific Island Rock from Timora Sea.

This rock is really similar to Tonga Kaelini and Fiji. Looks like a nice cross of both with the good color of Tonga and nice shape of Fiji. The most noticeable features of this rock seems to be the life, it seems to be super fresh with plants and corals.

Here are some additional photo links to the rock. We got in a 350lb shipment. We literally just grabbed 3 pieces, took them out to the parking lot and put on white Styrofoam and snapped this off. So these are true raw images of the rock that just arrived.

5 Great Rock 02/17/2010 - by Roland Williams from Kearney, NE US
I'm a newbie to marine aquariums so I got base rock and mostly cured rock but I wanted to try to cure a little of my own so I just got 10# of this Timora rock in my shipment. It had 1 emerald crab, 1 smaller brown crab, green algae, sponges, and tons of other growth. The shape was great and created some places for some corals that I plan to get in the near future. I would say it's well worth the money if you want to take the time to cure it yourself. I found out that it really does stink during the curing process, so don't do it in your dining or living room, but it's still kind of fun to watch the progress.
5 Great! 08/08/2009 - by Tara from Marshalltown, IA US
My rock looked just like the pictures! The shapes were great to work with. I had macroalgae, purple corals, lots of coraline mostly purple, but also green and pink. I had a crab too, not sure what kind. I called for help and the people there had great customer service and could answer all questions! I highly recommend it!
5 Awesome! 01/11/2009 - by Morgan from Manchester, KY US
Not sure what happened with the guy who gave this rock a 1...this rock is awesome, life is everywhere...I've had it in my tank for about 12 hours and I have already seen snails, 2-3 different types of crabs, several corals, some type of sea slug (2 or 3 of them very dark purple...haven't found an id on them yet), lots of macro algae, and I am sure several things which haven't come out of hiding yet. The shape is very open with lots of crevices and holes. It has several different colors of coraline on it...it is not covered with coraline like Fiji or Marshall, but does have quite a bit on it. It is lighter than Florida rock, but a little heavier than Fiji. My rock looks quite a bit like photo number 5 above, but has better shape to it Highly recommended!!
1 Where's the life? 04/24/2008 - by Jason Snow from Luna Pier, MI US
Don't be fooled by the description of this rock, it looks like base rock. Plants? Nope. Corals? Nope. I'm not sure where they got the rock for their photos, but it sure wasn't the rock I received.
