(08/16/2009) - Got 10lbs (and a bag of crud and chaeto) to start up a 12G Nano-Cube DX. I have to say the pieces I received were amazing. Smelled fresh, covered in coralline, packed well, nice variety of shapes and sizes, etc. All in all, the nano rock way exceeded my expectations, and they were pretty high...
(06/20/2009) - This is great rock! Lots of interesting looking pieces. My rock shipment came with some live soft coral already attached to many of the pieces. Highly recommended.
(03/05/2009) - Luckly i only ordered 10 lbs of this rubble. If i wanted the rubble i woulda ordered it for $1.99 a lbs instead i got it for $4.49 YAY!! for me. looks like shells there was about 4 pieces that were golf ball size the rest were all smaller. Most were about finger nail size. BUT it did have great colors and growth.
(01/07/2009) - was very disappointed with the rubble.. but if i could rate this a 10 i would, interesting shapes and teaming, all i can say is above and beyond, and thanks
(06/17/2008) - wow! is all i can say this rock is amazing! it has perfect shapes and colors mine had alot of critters on it and a was surpirsed to see a clam on mine!this is the best place to buy rock dont buy from anywhere else premium aquatics is the best!
(02/14/2008) - Before you make a purchase at any other live rock place...please be sure to check out Premium first!!! When i recieved my rocks it was lit up with colors, I even think I recieved a coral with mine!! These are the best rock i've ever seen! Highly recommended!!
(08/29/2007) - This rock came to me and each piece was like unrapping a christmas gift. The rock looks amazing in my tank. Lots of colors and very interesting shapes too.
(08/22/2007) - Unfortunately I am not initially impressed with the rock I received. There appears to be very little life on the rock (not even much coralline algae). The larger pieces on the bottom of the box were broken except for one. I was able to make an interesting aquascape but overall I am disappointed with my purchase. Perhaps in six months I will write a different review but so far I think I should have chosen another source.
(08/14/2007) - Thank you Jeremy! I ordered live rock from Sealifeinc, Tampa Bay Saltwater and looked all over San Francisco, and my order of rock from Premium Aquatics was 100x better. I asked for Marshall Island Nano rock, Kaelini and Fiji (all cured) and each piece had lots of wonderful holes, caves, some bivalves attached, green coralline. Breathtaking stuff. I'm so glad I saved the best for last to put on the top 1/2 of my tank.
(08/02/2007) - Ive ordered live nano rock from Dr.Macs, live aquaria and premium aquatics and i must say that premium aquatics is the best. The rock is not only beautiful but had the most interesting shapes. In addition it was very well packaged. You can tell they care about their rock. Nothing short of an A+! Cant wait to buy more from them.
(07/11/2007) - I ordered two pieces of this rock for my nano aquarium. It got here very fast and most of all when i opened it i got a third piece thrown in for free, I am happy with how fast delivery was and how much life is on these rocks. I'm sure ill be suprised as time moves on and anyone thinking about ordering off this site should go for it!!!
(11/17/2006) - I ordered 6lbs of the Kaelini and 6lbs of the Marshall Island and there was so much growth on it right out of the box. Each rock was like opening a gift on christmas day. I would highly recommend their product to anyone. You can't beat this.
(06/08/2006) - I just received my order for 25 pounds of nano rock. I specifically requested interesting shaped rock for aquascaping purposes ( although I wasn't sure if this was possible in softball-sized rock). Guess what? I received mostly Marshall Island w/ only 1 piece of Fiji. I ended up with only a handful of rubble at the most. Good coralline algae coverage. When I placed this rock in my curing tank, it did not cloud the water like I thought it would. The rock also passed my smell test (no rotten egg odor). Highly Recommended!
(03/30/2006) - This is my first reef aquarium and first time buying live rock. I purchased 16 lbs. for my 12 gallon tank. I requested 10 lbs. of Marshall Island Tonga and 6 lbs. of Kaelina. Both arrived bagged separately. Lots of nice colors and growth including a sponge and some hitchhiking snails. The stubby branchiness of the Marshall Island allowed them to hook together well and the flatter Kaelina with it made aquascaping a breeze. Customer Service was excellent!
(03/27/2006) - First time buying live rock online, went with Premium Aquatics, no regrets so far.
1-2 pieces were a little ugly, definitely not hand picked imo, but the rest made up for it. Overall, quite satisfied. Too bad shipping costs as much as the rock.
(02/09/2006) - I got this rock at less than 5 dollars per lbs with amazing quality coraline algae all over the place , pods , even coral . My LFS sells for 7 dollars a lbs and its totally crappy . Great rock guys thanx
(10/15/2005) - This NANO rock is totally worth every penny! Most fish stores can not even immagine coming close to selling the quality of the rock I got in my order.
(02/19/2005) - i got great rock there is alot of life onit there's featherdusters hard and soft corals sponges starfish etc
its half than at my lfs which is 6.99 lb cory was very helpful i would definately work with these guys again
(12/31/2004) - This is my first rodeo into saltwater...took a chance on the Marshall rock for my tank. In a word--awesome. The rock still had that fresh seawater smell after 2-day shipping with much color. The shapes are great for designing your seascape. The price with shipping was $2 less per lb than local lfs + local tax. Cory was very helpful. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.
Wow.
(10/31/2004) - I purchased PA live rock about two months ago, for my first saltwater tank. Very helpful customer service, and they even picked 15 pounds of only nano marshall island rock for me as per my request. Great shapes, lots of holes and caves for my fish. These rocks are cheap as heck, and theyre great for nanos! Cycle was about 4 days, and there is tons of featherdusters, pods, etc on it. Definitely worth it.
(10/21/2004) - All I can say is WOAH...my LFS sells rock with a tenth of the quality of this rock for triple the price. My wallet and I are very happy that we found this place. I was able to puzzle the pieces together to make it look like one show piece of rock in my AGA minibow 7. All I can say is don't skimp on the shipping, I went for the three day and seeing how awesome this rock is now I just know that it would've been even more spectacular if I went for two day or even overnight.
(10/06/2004) - I've ordered live rock from several places online in addition to my LFS at $10/pound and basically void of life/color and probably filtration.
This nano live rock is amazing, some of the best rock ive seen, and only $3.50 a pound!! 8 pounds came in today for my 7 gallon minibow and the aquascaping fit like a puzzle, and an awesome one at that. Beautiful peices of Marshall and Tonga encrusted in orange, purple, red and green coraline, with small corals, polyps, featherdusters and sponges already spotted. I even saw a few pods and mysid through the cloudiness. The peices were perfectly fit for my 7 gallon minibow. Thankyou so much Premium Aquatics, you guys have the best LR ever, PERIOD.
(09/02/2004) - This is the 3rd live rock order I have placed with you, and they just keep getting better. I had fairly precise specs for this order of nano rock, which is being used to create small shelves and overhangs in a larger tank, and you managed to surpass anything I could have hoped for. Perfect intricate little pieces, with tons of life. Beautiful!
(08/20/2004) - i got 15lbs for my 10! 8lbs fiji,5lbs marshal,and 2 lbs tonga and got a wide aray of life! I have snails,sponges,micro stars,some corals,red feather dusters,beautiful corlaine and more! Great stuff! Recommended~!
(06/01/2004) - Great rock!!! Great shapes, lots of holes and decent corraline. No sign of cycle after 2nd day shipping. Highly Recommended!!!
(06/01/2004) - I got 2 nice pieces of this stuff and it's great! Perfect in my 5.5AGA.
(06/01/2004) - Very nice rock, looks great and has a great color, Would reccomend that you get some.
(06/23/2011) - I just received 5 lbs of nano live rock and couldn’t be more happy with what I received! I bought a lace rock a couple weeks ago [different merchant] weighing at 3 lbs and although I didn’t weigh the live rock, I received about 4 times the amount compared to the lace rock. I also found several snails initially [more emerged later in the tank – I had no snails before, glad I didn’t buy any!], a small bristleworm [which my blue leg hermit crabs were trying to attack], a couple [so far] very small fan worms, a purple violet SMALL starfish [from what I can tell from pictures, but unfortunately it didn’t make it during the shipment… hoping another might emerge], small pieces of coral….. Possibly more, but those are what I could see from the first couple hours of being in my tank. Michelle, one of the employees, contacted me about approving the charge for an insulated box and was VERY friendly. DEFINITELY recommend!
