Bali Alor Rock - This is beautiful and very different rock. This rock looks like you took several pieces of paper and rolled them up then let them unroll, creating a shelf like formation within the rock.

5 Cured Bali Alor 10/19/2009 - by Don Halverson from Hendersonville, TN US
I was a bit concerned ordering live rock over the internet but the pieces of cured Bali Alor that I received from PA were terrific. Justin told me up front that there was little color on the pieces but they have colored nicely in the 2 weeks they have been in the tank. I am very pleased with PA's service and product. Thanks!
5 Good Stuff 09/24/2009 - by Michael from plainsboro, NJ US
The bali live rock from PA is great. it came in nice large pieces with some nice shapes. The coloring of the rock is great and PA shipped it very well packed and very fast.

No aptasia on mine, it is good live rock

it really adds a nice change to the standard rock
5 Superb rock...Best I've Seen 09/12/2009 - by Gilbert Rivera from Los Angeles, CA US
Wow! Saw the pictures online and I've been reading nothing but good things about the Bali Alor. So I ordered 21 pounds of the cured stuff via UPS. Got the shipment in a big, well-packaged box. Opened it up and every piece was even better than I had anticipated. The Bali Alor rock is lightweight, porous, and looks pretty gnarly! Lots of interesting shapes and even some coraline had survived. I had asked for a few foundation pieces and some flat pieces for shelves in addition to the regular-sized rocks and I got exactly what I had asked for. Great customer service! Keep in mind though that because the rock is so lightweight, you may not need to order as much as you would if you were ordering Fiji rock.
5 I'm no expert, but I like what I received! 08/04/2009 - by Kevin Young from Anchorage, AK US
I had 20lbs of this rock overnighted to my place in Alaska, and when I opened the box, everything smelled great, like fresh seawater. It was packaged very well in a styrofoam container, and each rock was wrapped in wet paper. Coraline coverage is great! Lots of purples and deep reds, and some macroalgae. Color and life wise, it looked much better than the pictures above, though my pieces weren't as interestingly shaped. However, they are FAR better than the Fiji rocks I already had in there, and each piece was very light. You get alot of rock per lb in my experience. I've counted a two pest anemones so far, but I've only had the rock a day, so I'm sure there are more. I would just expect a few, and take precautions to eliminate them when you get them (peppermint shrimp/limejuice). Overall I'm really happy and excited, I found a really cool crab that hitchiked that appears to be reef safe. He has red eyes and racing stripes, never seen anything like it. Again, I'm no expert, but I wasn't disappointed! Better than any rock available to me here in Alaska!
4 Good Live Rock 03/27/2009 - by Brent H. from Eden Prairie, MN US
I have had my rock for over a month now and the nice purples are starting to develop. Much of this rock arrived with nice life on it like feather dusters and good colors. I'm quite satisfied with it for the low price I paid, anywhere else on the web is more expensive and any LFS is twice the price. Some rubble from shipping, but that is expected. Arrived nicely cured and fresh smelling, barely an ammonia spike. Good shapes and 40 pounds for my 46gallon bowfront is perfect. More for your money than with a dense Fiji. I am happy with my purchase and will use PA when I need more rock when I upgrade to a larger set-up.
Thanks Premium Aquatics, job well done, and good customer service!
3 3 high expectations 03/23/2009 - by John Walker from Tuscaloosa, AL US
Almost gave it a 2, I think my expectation were to high for buying unseen rock. I received 35lbs and the sizes I requested were good. Two pieces made it through shipping that were hollow as I had requested, and looked like the pics above and were covered in Coraline algae, the only other piece that could have been hollow was busted to pieces underneath the heavier solid pieces packed above it. I was real specific about the type I requested but still received that ONE filler rock everyone seems to place in the box when you order online. It was the largest rock of all the other pieces and was Tonga branch rock dense and solid and heavy, I hate Tonga branch on top of that, I hope I can find a home for it. All the other pieces were dense rocks that arrived browned and dead looking, nothing like the pics above. Basically I got 6 to 9 pounds of what I wanted, and the two pieces that were good made the others a real let down.
1 Terrible 03/18/2009 - by ANDREW MACKO from HUBER HEIGHTS, OH US
I recently purchased 30 lbs of this rock, which after I weighed it I had only 22lbs. Its full of aptasia. Iv'e spent more time trying to cure this infested crap than it was worth. Not satisfied at all.
5 nice rock 02/01/2009 - by Gregory Thomas from Wakeman, OH US
This is a nice rock. I bought mine from the lfs but could of saved 20 bucks (shipping included) on a 10 lb order if I would of bought it here. Provides lots of hiding places.
5 Fantastic Rock !! 06/16/2008 - by George from North Babylon, NY US
I purchased 10lbs of this and 30 lbs of the Timora. Both were great but the Alor is the standout of the two.
