4 Best for the $

I've only been in the hobby for 1 year, these are the only pumps I've owned so far. For the price you're getting a pump that isn't controllable but pretty darn reliable in my opinion. I have 3 K2's running in my 55g (for 5 months now), I unplug them all here and there for big waterchanges with no restart issues whatsoever.

in my 29 cube this powerhead moves a lot of water very reliably and silently. it is a bit cumbersome to hide due to its size and how far it sticks out, but with some imaginative aquascaping mine virtually disappears in the tank. it also works perfectly with the seio controller, allowing for a surge flow pattern with time intervals ranging from 15 seconds to 60 minutes.

I was waiting to get one of these and they finally had them in stock so I bought it. I was all excited when the package came so I opened it up immediately and I was very disappointed. The pump is much much bigger than expected. The magnet holder is nice and for the price it looks to be descent, but I don't think I would buy another one. It also took a while for the propeller to start spinning. I had to take it apart and play with it to get it running. They do move a lot of water, but it is hard to control where the water will go ever though it has the ball and socket mount.
