I use this pump to run my flow through my 1 hp chiller (also a Gen-X) and it's great. A nice amount of flow for a large chiller (even at 4' head) and unlike the guy before me, it is very silent. Every company puts out an occasional defect, and he got one. I have had this running for a long time and had perfect results. I recommend it highly! for the price, it's hard to beat...

This pump is very noisy - has a very loud hum to it. I let it run for 2 days and still it hums like its going to fly apart.Maybe I just got the bad one out of the bunch! returning it ASAP.Weak flow at 5" head pressure as well.
