(03/12/2007) - Boought 2 of these and as stated by others they are junk lasted less than 3 months and the lights stay on and make you think its working if you get these do not rely on it have spares

(01/25/2007) - This heater worked well for a while; no problems. Then all of a sudden the tube and controller crapped out. Finnex's response was poor. They were not concerned about the lack of quality whatsoever. would have been better off with a cheap glass unit.

(12/14/2006) - Bought two 800W units, with controller. Within two weeks of use, both controllers had blown the output fuse. However, the indicator lights still worked, making it appear that the heaters were working as the controller still had power. Fuse was rated for 10A. Contacted importer, who told me to put in larger 12A fuses. However, doing the math, a 10A fuse should be good for a 1200W heater. Something else is wrong with this device. Took the controller out of line, and used an X10 unit to control it via my Aquacontroller. Came home today to the GFI being tripped. After resetting everything, the heater tube itself is dead. I now have one remaining 800W tube. The other is garbage. These units have been in service maybe 3 months. I wish I would have bought a set of Wons and Ranco controllers at this point.
