Calcium is the primary building block of corals, calms, calcareous algae and many other organism that we grow in our aquarium. Without adequate supplies of calcium these organism will not flourish and most eventually waste away and die.  The ideal value of Calcium in the aquarium is: - for the seawater aquarium 450 mg/Lt - for the planted freshwater aquarium 100 mg/Lt  Because of the importance of calcium, it is necessary to keep inside our marine aquariums, the proper Calcium Level, testing it with an accurate test kit.  ELOS AquaTest Ca, as well as all the other titrimetric test kit of this line, grants an high precision thanks to several procedures. The accuracy of a titrimetric test kit is, in fact, strictly related to the precision of the drop size (and number). In these test we use calibrated dropper with constant and predefined drops of 0,03 ml each. Even if the sides of the bottle are strongly squeezed, the dropper never dispenses more liquid than what it has been calibrated for, in a constant and predefined amount.  HIGHLIGHTS: High quality system: one powder reagent b?and two liquids! Standard sensibility: 25 ppm of Calcium ions. For years I relied on Salifert test kits, only to live with out them because of back order or recall. I decided to try these Elos test kits. No little micro syringes no taking air in the syringe for account. Simply two easy test kits, one for approximate and one exact. Simple to use over all a great product.

Easy to use, good quality, better accuracy than the Salifert kits. These are a little pricey, but they are the most accurate test kits in this price range. I've been using Elos for a couple years now, and have been very happy.

I have used it for about 2 weeks now.Nice test kit as you can do an approximation or precision test.You have to do both tests for the precision test,so i do the approx. test three times a week,and the prec.test once a week,or when i plan on dosing cal.to the tank.And i love the reagent bottles on the Elos kits.Nice and precise drops,not like the crap bottles you get with Salifert kits.Also got the Po4,same nice quality.
