Rough Dimensions:
You'll need 18" wide x 4.5" deep x 9 1/4" tall behind your tank. Then you'll have the prefilter/overflow box on the inside of the tank.

(06/01/2004) - An excellent filter for small aquariums. Only drawback for me is that it is difficult to access to plant and trim caulerpa as my tank is against the wall in a framed stand. Not too sure about the claim for not needing a skimmer (I still skim, despite the instructions!) but since adding this system I've beaten back an outrageous algae bloom! I do NOT regret buying it!!
