Aragamax Sugar Sized Sand™ - This oolitic sand is ideal for shallower beds, allowing denitrification in as little as 1” depth. The fine grain size can pass easily through the gills of gobies and other sand sifting organisms. The naturally spherical grains are gentle to sharks and rays. Grain size 0.1 - 1.0 mm.

I didn't have much experience with this product, for I only had the refugium for a couple months, but it seemed to work great while I did have it. Just be sure to seed with LIVE SAND on top... it can make all the difference in how successful your sandbed will be. Also, if the sand is blowing away due to too much flow, try putting a light layer of CaribSea crushed coral on top, it worked really well for me. Overall a great product and is highly recommended for sandbeds, be it shallow or deep.
