South Seas
South Seas Base Rock is a great new aquascaping rock that we are excited to be offering. South Seas Base Rock has much more structure than any other commonly available rock and is much more porous than others as well, (you will get a lot more rock for your money). South Seas Lace is a calcium carbonate base rock that is very similar to actual reef rock, and ay one point actually was, although it is obtained terrestrially from ancient coral reefs underground. South Seas Lace will make the perfect alternative to live rock or can provide a very attractive "base" for live rock. South Seas Lace can also provide a very clean, unique look for cichlid and livebearer tanks.

5 Great rock 01/09/2010 - by Roland Williams from Kearney, NE US
I bought this along with some Bali Alor cured, Base rock and Timora Sea live rock uncured. I took a couple of pieces and put it in the tub with the uncured rock for a week and I am already seeing life on it. I'm sure that Im not the first one to think of this but it has worked great to seed the unlive rock. I put some straight in the aquarium and its quite a bit behind in development. This rock has great structures and shapes. I little different look than the other rock but it provides some great variety in the tank. I think it's a great buy. By the way, the other rock I bought is super also.
5 South seas rock 12/04/2008 - by mark from mt. pocono, PA US
I just recieved my delivery today and was extremely happy with this Rock. Nice and craggly, with lots of nooks and crannies. Can't wait to seed it and start making it live. Lots of different shapes and sizes. Shoulda gotten 2 boxes.
5 Good start 11/12/2008 - by Alan Brian from Cantonment, FL US
I bought 80 lbs of this for a foundation in my 120 gallon tank and am very pleased with my choice. This rock is very porous, stacks easily and will be a great base to add live rock to. I was initially nervous about buying this rock, but am glad I did.
5 South Seas Rock 02/21/2008 - by Sherry Kennedy from Hillsdale, WY US
This rock is nice, but 40 lbs. isn't a lot of rock. If you have a 100 gallon tank or larger, buy two or three boxes. I wish I had. The rock looks small in my 110 tank. Will be a good base for live rock, but it wasn't smart of me to buy just one box.
